Once Again (& a day late)...This is American Idol

It's been another crazy week at the Towboater home, and filled with disappointment by the delay of AI (Thanks, Mr.President) we finally set down and attempted to enjoy. First this week for the 2nd round was...

Jasmine Murray- It was not the way to start the show out. She was very disappointing and she sings through her nose. The only person who can truly get away with this is Gary Lavox of Rascal Flatts. He sings through his nose with great pride, and makes millions doing it. Jasmine, on the other hand, will not.

Matt Giraud- I really enjoyed it. I was glad to hear something fairly decent. Didn't care for the song choice, let Chris Martin handle that song, but did like it.

Jeanine Vailes- Great Legs...Thats all I have to say. It was awful, but she did look hot.

Nick Mitchell/Normand Gentle- Ok, I am alittle biased. I LOVE HIM!! My husband even stopped to see what he had up his sleeve. He always makes me laugh and I hope we continue to see him! My husband did bring up that he isn't really singing/cd material. In person it is side splitting to watch, but just on the radio/cd, it would just be boring and probably not make much sense. I love him, though, and hopes he makes it through.

Allison Iraheta- First off, I agree with BooMama, retire the song. Wanna-be Idol's have been singing that song for so many season, it's time for them to get rid of it. It wasn't great, but she was the best girl of the night. Don't care for the red/burgandy/maroon hair.

Kris Allen- I was shock by him. He hasn't got much air time, and I didn't know much about him. I thought it was good.

Megan Joy Corkrey- First off, leave the Joy out. This is not a beauty pageant. I really liked her at her audition, but didn't care for her last night. She kept making these weird faces. I tried not to watch.

Matt Breitzke- I like him too.(Not as much as Michael Sarver) I liked the song, but don't really remember much about his performance. As Simon would say "Forgetable".

Jesse Langseth- I like the soul in her voice, but felt like at times I couldn't understand her. She did look good last night, but I don't think that will be enough to get her a space this week. Maybe we'll see her in the wildcard show.

Kai Kalama- What a sweet soul he must be. He cares for his mom and still has time to have great hair. I thought he sang very well, but didn't like the song choice ( I bet his mom helped him pick it).

Mishavonna Henson- I really was expecting alot out of her. I guess they have talked her up so much. It was ok. Everybody just picks these songs that show no range. I want to hear them belt it. Hit me with your best shot....Not your crappy one.

Adam Lambert- The best boy of the night. His voice can go from Low to high in .03 seconds. He is truly an entertainer, kinda creepy at times, but very good.

I was still bored this week. I ended up hanging up clothes and cleaning bathrooms while I listened. Usually, you can't get me off the couch....Oh, How I miss David Cook...those were the days.

Here are my predictions:
Top Girl: Allison Iraheta
Top Boy: Adam Lambert
Wildcard: Norm/Nick or Matt Giraud

Now go check out the other reviews on BooMama's site (She's listed on the side). Hope you enjoyed!
